Sometimes life is not easy to bear. That's why a spiritual practice is more than recommended. If we don't challenge ourselves, life will.

CHALLENGE YOURSELF RATHER THAN BEING CHALLENGED
When life presents us with moments of profound difficulty it does test our resilience and strength. It is through these hardships that we often discover our true selves and the depths of our capabilities. By undertaking this introspective journey, we can gain insights into our motivations, desires, and the underlying beliefs that shape our actions and experiences. Embracing the complexities of life, including its darker moments, can lead to a richer, more nuanced understanding of our journey. This proactive self-examination helps us to prevent life from forcing us into uncomfortable realizations, as we take the initiative to confront our inner truths.
Reality can often be challenging. This is one reason our souls opt for reincarnation: In the 3D realm we are able to grow and heal. If we don't actively push ourselves to face our fears, limitations and uncertainties, life will eventually present its own challenges. This highlights the importance of sadhana. Participating in spiritual practices enables us to reflect on ourselves, encouraging us to question not only who we are but also who we want to become.
RECHARGE BY REWIRE
Humans are driven by two primary instincts: either enhancing their future or hindering their future progress. If you are aware of this and possess a genuine desire to better your future, you will naturally develop habits that foster growth. Habits have such a significant influence over us that it's often said we can alter our destiny by transforming our habits.
According to yogic science, the human mind works in cycles. We can use various cycles to help replace unwanted patterns of behavior with new, more positive ones. When committing to a particular meditation or kriya for a specific time on a regular base, one will experience the numerous benefits of the daily efforts.
"To master the effects of a meditation, practice it as a sadhana, a daily discipline."
Yogi Bhajan
WHAT IS SADHANA?
Sādhana is a Sanskrit term that embodies the essence of spiritual pursuit and disciplined practice. It is closely related to the Sanskrit word sādhu, which conveys the idea of moving directly towards a specific goal or objective. Within the rich tapestry of Hindu tradition, sādhana is not merely a practice but a comprehensive approach to personal and spiritual development. It encompasses various techniques and disciplines that are designed to guide individuals on their journey towards self-realization and ultimate enlightenment, known as samadhi.
Anything that is practiced with awareness, discipline and the intention of spiritual growth can be considered as sadhana, as long as it is done in alignment of a ritual connection with the Divine. It encourages the practitioner, known as the sadhaka, to use self-discipline in order to achieve power over the ego and maintain connection with universal oneness.
"The way you eat, the way you sit, the way you stand, the way you breathe, the way you conduct your body, mind and your energies and emotions – this is sadhana. Sadhana does not mean any specific kind of activity, sadhana means you are using everything as a tool for your well-being."
